David L. Bronson, M.D.
Chairman, Division of Regional Medical Practice

Dr. Bronson is a member of the Board of Governors and the Executive Management Team at The Cleveland Clinic. He practices internal medicine on the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic.

The Division of Regional Medical Practice encompasses 14 group practice locations in Greater Cleveland suburban sites. Established in 1995, the Division has grown from 1 doctor to more than 296 physicians and with 1,200,000 outpatient visits in 2004.

Dr. Bronson has been with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation since 1992 where he served as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine prior to founding the Division of Medical Regional Practice in 1995. Dr. Bronson is an associate professor of internal medicine at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Bronson received his M.D. degree from the University of Vermont and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Vermont, where he served as chief resident. A recipient of numerous honors and awards, including being recognized as a Top Doctor in Northern Ohio Live magazine and in Best Doctors in America, Dr. Bronson is a member of nearly a dozen professional societies; various state and national committees; and many hospital and university committees. He has been actively involved in a number of research efforts, including having served as principal or co-principal investigator.

Dr. Bronson is a reviewer for several journals, and associate editor of the Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine. He has published and presented papers in the areas of preoperative assessment, quality improvement, smoking cessation, predictive instruments, practice management, and patient satisfaction.

Dr. Bronson is a member of the Board of Governors of the American College of Physicians, and Board of Directors of the American Medical Group Association.
