Writer's Statement

My piece "Biology" is about the contrasting and complimentary nature of our physical selves made up of chemicals and molecules and our spiritual self that many believe defines who we are. The piece also speaks to the effect of breast cancer on one’s beliefs on the relationship between the physical and the spiritual.
