My poem is nine months in the life of an unnamed narrator and his girlfriend. He takes you through the events of his girlfriend's pregnancy from his perspective. While the unexpected pregnancy turns their lives upside down, this poem illustrates the main point: their beautiful baby. This poem is written in nine stanzas for nine months, separated into three trimesters. This ties into Marissa Rose's research project by way of the last stanza; the project was the choice of the father for the infant, and our narrator makes his very clear.
