Writer's Statement

Being a big factor in the killing of women, breast cancer caught my interest. Putting myself in someone else's place and writing a diary about a girl close to my age who gets diagnosed with breast cancer made me take time to realize how serious this topic really is. I didn’t know firsthand about beast cancer until I decided to do research on it and learned more about it.
