Writer's Statement

I came up with these ideas from the experience I had with my Great-Aunt Rita and her struggles with this horrible disease. She inspired me to create a truthful account of what she went through. I have experienced all these events with her. It was a tough road that my family traveled with her to get her in a better place. She is now on medication, and her deterioration seems to have slowed.
