Artist's Statement

A young depressed woman sits on the floor in a shower as the smiling shower head bathes her in vibrant color. Despite this, her melancholy demeanor is unchanged. This reflects the results of Nora's project showing her subjects' overall emotions of either very little change or no change at all from the various colors of the nurses' uniforms. The idea behind the sculpture of a shower came from the expression of "being bathed in emotion."
