Artist's Statement

My picture represents a heart melting away. In the heart-shaped mirror, there are flowers which are beginning to fade, and the flowers in the background have faded to black and white. What this represents is a body deteriorating because of a failing heart. There is no way to stop time when a person has developed this serious condition. Faded throughout the whole picture are clocks which represents the few short years a person may have while under the condition of heart failure.
