Artist's Statement

My project is a papier-mache, 3-D, hollow heart that is 20 X 14 X 14. The heart is painted to look like a reallife one. I made it so big to exaggerate the details and the emptiness inside. The inside of the heart has cob webs to again exaggerate the emptiness. There is also a light on the inside so you can see the cob webs and the details of the inside.
