Artist's Statement

I designed this work to characterize the importance of reaction time while having a stroke. I illustrated the danger and possible damage that a stroke can cause by placing it in front of a fiery background. The figures represent people who have strokes but do not realize it. They are right next to the brain, but they are not taking action. Instead, they are simply waiting around. The importance of reaction time to a stroke is symbolized by the broken watch.
