Artist's Statement

The jumbled abstract fibers, wires, paper and pictures create a powerful image of a heart and the various piping and tubes that real hearts contain. The green, dull background acts as a contrast color from the vibrant reds found in the mess of the heart. My interpretation shows what once may have been a heart and has recently failed. This sticks perfectly to the theme of heart failure.
