Artist's Statement

My submission is based on the race against time. When stroke patients are first brought to the hospital, you only have three hours from the time the patient has the stroke to get a treatment called tPA into them. When you look at my piece, you see the patient and two doctors racing against the clock to the finish line at the end of the hallway. I also incorporated two other internships into my project. One was based on pamphlets helping people with their diagnosis and the other was the father's choice between breast and formula milk for their infant.
