Research
The Development of a Cleveland Clinic SharePoint Website to Aid the Adherence of Pharmacy Regulations Necessary to Open, License, and Sustain a Practice
Hypothesis
Health System Services aids the Cleveland Clinic with understanding the policies for accreditation. The hypothesis of this study was that a SharePoint website would aid adherence to these accreditation policies, assisting in healthcare providers search for information.
Methodology
The purpose is to develop a Cleveland Clinic SharePoint website for the department of Health System Services to aid in the adherence of accreditation policies at the Cleveland Clinic. Health System Services team members were shadowed during inspections. Nurses’ questions were noted, as well as any reoccurring issues. Accreditation and licensing organizations were researched. Important, high demand documents were collected and uploaded to the SharePoint website.
Outcomes
The Health System Services website promotes the Cleveland Clinic’s motto of “Patients First” by providing staff with quick, easy access to information. Of the over 400 sites that the HSS regulatory technicians service, it is estimated that approximately 60-70% of the staff will utilize the HSS website. Use of flyers, posters, pamphlets, and in-services promotes the Health System Services SharePoint website and encourages physicians and nurses to utilize the site and “Q&A Forum” application before calling the HSS office with questions.
