Writer's Statement

In my short story, I portrayed a young woman who loses her memory. Though she suffers no physical pain, she is plagued by the "pain" of memory loss. The music she hears in her mind is the only real memory she has, and the nurse helps to give her this music as "medication" when she gives her sleeping medications and allows her to dream of the music.
