Artist's Statement

After learning of ways music can be used as therapy, I wanted to produce an art piece that reflected the calming and healing powers music has. The base of the sculpture is made to look relaxed and tranquil. The person who is holding the IV pole is receiving the therapy through the music in the IV bag. I felt that the sculpture itself should be simple, yet have an abstract quality.
