Artist's Statement

I chose the topic Outcome of Patients with Esophageal Perforation and used mixed media to emphasize the difference between a healthy esophagus and an esophagus with a perforation. I used different colored fabrics to show the difference between a healthy esophagus and a damaged one. I also made it interactive to make the piece and underlying idea more memorable.
