Artist's Statement

Quilting has a long history. Women have quilted together for hundreds of years. Some believe that, during slavery, women quilted clues to the Underground Railroad. My Mom and Gramma taught me how to sew. We like to sew together. In my art, the quilted ribbon is for breast cancer. The green background is for nature and feeling better. The tree is The Tree of Life.
