Artist's Statement

My artwork, influenced by Nikki Meyyazhagan’s scientific study, is about how the camera pill advances to a point where it can take up to 100 pictures while traveling through the digestive system. My painting represents a person being trapped within a disease. The pills falling in my artwork show the fear that some people have concerning swallowing large pills. The wire represents a trapped feeling when someone is ill, confused, and lost before a diagnosis.
