Artist's Statement

The wellness of one's inside cannot be determined by an outside appearance. My work, The Fantastic Voyage, was influended by Nivedhitha Meyyazhagan's study, The Effect of Capsule Endoscopy Radio Frequency Energy on One Implantable Defibrillation Device. The study involves a camera pill that delves into the human digestive tract in search of diseases; this idea is reflected into my work in various aspects. The fluidity of organs is shown in the stomach region and the individual images scattering out of the body's center demonstrate the camera's purpose. The geometric aspects represent the precision of the studies and research. The face can project an image of pain but cannot fully illustrate how the internal body appears.
