Artist's Statement

The life blood flows from the heart through the veins of the mother, much like it flows to the baby. As in the ultrasound, what looks like a blob is slowly becoming the art of humanity. The art of ultrasound now can be used to detect anomalies growing in the arterial/cardiovascular system. This procedure is less invasive to the patient, as prenatal ultrasounds are invasive to neither the mother nor the fetus.
