Artist's Statement

I decided to put "Dr. Germ" on a handkerchief to create an irony in two ways. The first way is basically a representation of how no matter how sterile rooms are and how thorough surgeons sterilize themselves during a surgical scrub, germs can’t always be avoided. The second way is that there’s a handkerchief with a germ on it!
