I wanted my piece to be different than a painting on canvas, so I chose to work with the aspect of reality. Creating a three-dimensional doll brought more of my ideas and imagination to “life.” The fabric used for the doll is stamped. The stamp, which I created myself, I used with paint to portray the unique pattern, which I created by myself as well. Each side of the doll represents either effects of cholesterol from animal products or the effects of being a vegan. The smiley face is the good, along with the fruits and vegetables, the positive blood vessels, and the healthy heart. The frown face is the bad, along with the meat, the unhealthy blood, and dying heart. The double side feature is to show that there is an effect from eating animal products. It shows what they can do to your body and heart, compared to eating all organic, vegan foods to stay healthy.
How Does a Reduction in the Consumption of Animal Products Affect Cholesterol?
