Overall, the conclusion of Rollins' study was that aspirin and warfarin are both effective as blood thinners in the treatment of patients with atrial fibrilation, congestive heart failure, and strokes. My father is somewhat of a wine aficionado. When I was younger I always thought that red wine looked like blood. Because of its blood-thinning qualities, warfarin is a major ingredient in rat poison. I've always thought it was interesting how chemicals used to heal could also harm.
