5th Year Students Follow Residency Match Process
Fall 2009
Although the current class of 2010 is in the midst of submitting their residency applications in anticipation of the
March 2010 Match, the process of deciding on a residency started much earlier. Using the Association of American
Medical Colleges’ (AAMC) Careers in Medicine for additional information, Richard Prayson, MD, directs the
Career Counseling program (Careers in Medicine) for the College students.

We live in a time of immense expansion in scientific knowledge and technologic capability. With less than 2 percent of active physicians pursuing careers involving research, graduates of CCLCM help address the increasing shortage of physician investigators in the United States. We are seeking to identify candidates who want to further advance the frontiers of biomedical research.
