AFIC is proud to announce that it is now operating under the management of the Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center (GCIC). In partnership with
GCIC, AFIC continues the battle against atrial fibrillation.
The Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center is a $250 million product commercialization consortium made possible by a $60 million grant from the State
of Ohio's Third Frontier Project. The consortium is led by the Cleveland Clinic and is made up of other leading Ohio medical and research institutions
including Case Western Reserve University, the Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Toledo and University Hospitals
of Cleveland, along with leading industry and economic development partners. Together, these organizations promote the commercialization of new products
and the creation of new companies in the State of Ohio.
AFIC's merger under GCIC provides broader resources for the continuation of atrial fibrillation research and development.
