Course objectives:

During the course each participant receives one-on-one training to develop knowledge and skills in:

• Semen sample collection and delivery.
• Routine semen analysis.
• Computer assisted semen analysis (CASA).
• Sperm morphology assessment
  (WHO and Tygerberg strict criteria).
• Fructose detection in seminal plasma
  (qualitative & quantitative assessment).
• Viability testing (Eosin & Nigrosin stain).
• Hypo-osmotic swelling test.
• Leukocyte detection (Peroxidase staining).
• Special sperm stain (NF-PICS) for azoospermic samples.
• Antisperm antibodies detection (Immunobeads test).
• Quality control, quality assurance and proficiency testing in andrology laboratory.
• Safety guidelines for andrology laboratory.

Educational teaching methods:

Each participant will receive:

• Course syllabus.

Course duration:

Participants receive 1 week of instructions in the following areas:

• Laboratory training sessions - 32 hours
