Joseph Rich, JD, MBA New Ventures Officer

Joe's primary responsibilities include the development and growth of Cleveland Clinic new ventures. He manages projects that are potential spin-off companies and assists existing spin-offs with fundraising, marketing, growth and development. He serves on the board of directors for FlexLife Health. In addition, Joe assists with managing Cleveland Clinic conflict of interest issues. Previously, he was corporate counsel and new ventures manager for the University of Akron Research Foundation and was instrumental in numerous corporate ventures and international deals. A proud northeast Ohio native, Joe holds a B.S. in Biology from John Carroll University and degrees in Law (J.D.) and Finance (M.B.A.) from The University of Akron, where the Ohio governor appointed him to serve on the university's Board of Trustees.
