Bill Moreau Managing Director, Sports Medicine US Olympic Committee Dr. Bill Moreau became the managing director of sports medicine for the U.S. Olympic Committee in February 2012 after having served as the organization’s director of sports medicine clinics since 2009. He lead the development of an integrated multiple disciplinary approach to USOC sports medicine. In his current role, Moreau reports to the chief administrative officer and oversees all USOC sports medicine activities, both within the Olympic Training Center clinics and in Games environments. In addition, he leads the USOC Medical Network and serves as Medical Director for the London 2012 U.S. Olympic Team. Previous to joining the USOC, Moreau had a successful private practice in Iowa for over 25 years. In addition to clinical practice, he served as an award-winning team physician for an area high school and community college. Moreau has successfully presented over 450 postgraduate presentations on sports medicine throughout the world while working with Olympic, professional, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes for three decades. He serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and on the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Moreau and his wife, Karen, live in Black Forest, Colorado. They have two sons, a daughter-in-law and a yellow labrador. Return to Speakers Page |
